3m is the best 1shanten discard. I was trying to think of how to greed include the 4s and pivot to tan yao. but in either case, the 3m needs to come out!
I’d hit 2m on shimocha but not sure if he’d necessarily discard if I riichi’d… 7 turns is too little for me tbh to justify tossing a stick

I think in a fuck everything full offense world I’d chii and toss 2s but I was extremely weary of toimen having something like tanyao dora akadora in hand. I know it’s not dora 3 since 3s wasn’t ponned on the 3s discard by kamicha but I really didn’t wanna take another 3900 pt hit here so I let it slide.

Some of the higher ups in the office have been egging me on to pursue a Master’s in Taxation. There are some benefits in doing so for my career, but I’m probably overestimating a little bit… but if I can do it, why not? Especially since that would also be on the company dime I kinda wanna… but if I can’t handle myself with just the job alone, how am I gonna do school and work at the same time? So I’m thinking if I can prove to myself I can behave from now through June I’ll try going for it…

I finally got my first day of 0 hours worked! I spent most of the day on just playing Pragmata. I’m nearing the end of the first run and we’ll see if the end-game stuff is any good. I can’t seem to play too much at a single time… maybe my attention span is bad.
Gave blood today. Their water dispenser was out of water but luckily I don’t have an aversion to drinking tap water.

Finally found these bad boys at Costco and picked up 4 jars. It’s like crack in a jar. I first ate them while watching an F1 race maybe 2 or so years ago… so I associate them with fast cars in my mind somehow. Surprisingly, my father hates olives of all sorts, so I guess I didn’t pick up the olive hating genes.

This morning I played some autotable and got 2 1sts! Then I thought that was cool. Let’s go to the local mahjong club and shake off the rust! It’s been probably at least two years since I played there… and I got cooked 0/1/2/2. lol. Need to work on a few things like maintaining consistent discards in riichi/damaten to not give tells off. I had good dama mangans but missed a few of them… Maybe if I called riichi I could get others to stop making big hands? I did deal in to two big ones (one post riichi and one where I ran out of safe tiles) so I have a lot of improvements ot make aon all fronts. Hooray

Today we ate at Fogo de Chao! They had $100.00 gift cards for $80.00 at Costco, so I picked up one… then I realized I’d need two sets for a dinner. I had purchased the cards back in February to eat after tax season was finished, but I was tempted to try to go during March and my brother called me out on it… so now we get to redeem it. It’s good but I would rank Galpao Gaucho and then Espetus over Fogo de chao. It’s a safer option… but I love the charcoal flavor that seeps into the meat at Espetus!
Here’s today’s purchases. A Yeti tumbler to replace my decade old Hydro Flask, and some… interesting chips from the Japanese supermarket. It looks like they’re made in Malaysia though… but I’m intrigued.
Making my way a little bit further into Pragmata… but we should also get back on track for exercise and nip reps too. Soon(tm)
