Today I got to use some of the firm’s AI tools to assist in our work. It’s actually quite useful… though it does need to be accuracy checked by a person. Am I going to put myself out of a job if I further develop workflows for it’s output…!? Maybe not in the short term… but…
For lunch a new Vietnamese place popped up that specializes in Vietnamese rice plates. It doesn’t quite live up to the bestcom tam place (fuck the accents i aint copy pasting more) I’m aware of, but it’s good enough. The main components to the dish are fried grilled onions, shredded pork, fish sauce, and grilled pork, but we also have this sugar cane shrimp thing on the left and egg cake on the bottom rounding out the dish. The sauce and grilled pork is a little bit weaker than what I’d expect in terms of flavor…
Anyway I finally decided to get off my fat ass and go outside and lift!

In any case, how can you say you played the game when you relied on external assistance? Let alone do it in a format where your teammates are cheering you on and hoping you bring home the bacon, only to betray them by not putting forth your own best effort? Within corporate structures we define fraud taking plac when three conditions align for a person to take action: the opportunity to do so (poor internal controls), rationalization (I deserve more money and I don’t get it), and pressure to do so (debt, obligation to perform, etc.). Add in a belief that one can get away with doing so and off to the races they go!
So flipping this back to using mortal bot in mahjong. You can get away with it by obfuscating your 1st pick rate to tank your rating. Your rationalization to do so is because you believe you aren’t as good at the game and need some way to catch up to the good players. But where’s the pressure to do so? It’s just a game dude. Let alone a game where you’re fighting for at what the end of thd day is… some space on a webpage.

I don’t know if I’m one to talk since my life is in shambles at this momnt. But placing your self value on some arbitrary rank in an online game isn’t it. What are you escaping from in your real life that drives you do to this? If you can’t accept getting your ass fucking kicked to the ground and your skull stomped on by others now (methaphorically in mahjong), how are you gonna be able to handle it when you actually are good at the game?

I think the idea is you were trying to fish for chanta sanshoku 2000 – I think I would have preferred to cut 8p and tanki 7p. since our hand isn’t high value we can focus on being ‘more safe’ with our discards since 1z does risk the wait of hell tanki (not that he’d pick hell tanki riichi with 2 8p visible on turn 7… right?)
