We have shu mai, some carrot mushroom roll thing, steak cubes, sea bass, and some dessert thing for lunch. My brother complains that the place is quite expensive, but each dish is indeed elevated compared to to other dim sum places. So you do get what you pay for! Notably they do not provide a bottle of soy sauce for you to pour out, so we had the shu mai as is and it is perfectly fine without. The roll thing has a good contrast in texture with the outer tofu wrap being gelatinous yet firm, steak cubes are nice and juicy and the sea bass is crispy on the outside yet moist in the inside.

Today’s lucky item from Costco is is conger eel jerky! It’s kind of like the dried squid you can find at chinese markets, but it has a sweet soy sauce flavor added to it. It costs 9 dollars which is perhaps a little expensive for 7 ounces but its JAPANESE so any price is ok. I’m a fan but probably wouldn’t make it a regular thing.
