Some mahjong this morning and some room cleanup. I organized my read doujinshi but still need to sort out the new arrivals from February and update the onahole location/list. Maybe we’ll tackle that next weekend.
Friend took me to Round 1 today, got a DDR credit in and some IIDX. But we have a new arrival here… Pop’n Music!

My first credit (eaten) resulted in a crash on song select. I didn’t know you get a free play on first card-in to the game… so I’m out a dollar! I was able to clear a 36 and 2 37s not having played for a very long time and not ever having taken the game seriously, so I’m pleasantly surprised. Could be a good game to add to the rotation since I’m not big on Sega rhythm games. One feature IIDX needs to take from pop’n music is showing what % of the song is in what BPM to make sof-lan songs easier to approach without having to consult a guide on when and by how much to adjust high speed by at breaks. I also did see some kids playing with the big POP buttons, so it seems to be a cute way to get someone into the game.
Unfortunately some stinky hobo was walking around during a few credits… I had to try to focus hard on the game by pressing buttons harder to not get distracted by his scent. ):
going to need to practice coming up with witty lines for… plates of food. level 1 at it I guess
For dinner, a chicken sammich and a bowl of chili. The temperature difference was quite odd with the chicken being hot off the grill but the lettuce and tomato being cold from the refrigerator, so I had to let it sit to allow the two to somewhat… get closer in temperature. Not ideal!
