a rant on checking my phone, from the perspective of myself:

You know those people you come across when you go outside? Walking around watching some dumb shit on their video? Or playing their little silly mobile game, flipping through Instagram/X/whatever the fuck you want, putting their phone away, and pulling it back out 30 seconds later because they have the attention span of a fucking gnat?
That’s you. Literally you. You are the thing that You hate. You fucking hypocrite.

What did you hope to find? You wanna read Zero Hedge and confirm the fucking world is falling apart? Yup, it is. Congratulations. The world will fucking end no matter what you do or don’t do. Wow.

You wanna open X (formerly Twitter) and look at dumb shit? You haven’t seen enough naked anime girls for a lifetime yet? You wanna read some political pundit’s take on dumb shit on shit that doesn’t matter? You wanna feel better about yourself seeing your views and positions justified? Pathetic.

You opened Discord and cycled through the few servers you look at. Wow, it’s the same fucking shit day in and day out, people playing mobile games, posting their rolls (or sparks, haha) and posting cute anime girls. You opened 4chan and see people are talking about the same worthless drivel about characters you don’t give a fuck about all to see if anyone gives a fuck about your dumb ass blog. Go kill yourself.

You know why you’re so damn unhappy with yourself? Because you’re too afraid to put in the work to become better. You’d rather run away from the difficult task at hand and find false solace to get away from the fact that you live in a sad sack of skin, fat, and bones. Anything to distract yourself from actually becoming who you want to be.

You changed your blog to ‘daily mahjong log’ and the moment you get a fucking 4th you say fuck this. You look at the scale in the morning and decide ‘oh i made no progress. might as well stuff myself full today again then’ and bitch about it later. Get your shit together.

This week we’ll be learning amount Itagaki Kanoe! No idea who she is besides the fact she had her own row last Comiket, so she should be at least somewhat cute. Seems like she likes to say out of line things ordinarily so far.

Woke up this morning and rolled around for twenty minutes before going out to lift. Can we cut down the time between thinking about doing something and actually doing something? Probably not.

Found out my server was offering error 408 for loading so I was distracted for most of the work day. Was able to figure it out after maybe 3 hours of work related to some shit I was fucking around with that I probably shouldn’t have been fucking around with. tfw computer illiterate.

I’ve been bad about multi-tasking and goofing off again, though I was good like two days ago! But let’s not dwell on it and go next. I don’t have any pictures today…

[23.4ド (イチリ)] 堕天計画　もう一人の守護者編

I accidentally read the book after this one first([23.4ド (イチリ)] 堕天計画　癒しの聖女編), but since I decided to use her dakimakura cover, I should read her book! (now apply this logic to the visual novel character / blue archive character dakimakuras you have you dunce). イチリ is also drawing a dakimakura of that character (シスターミリル) for the next 俺の嫁 event, so I’m excited to get add her to the collection as well!

I slept at about 21:30 last night but woke up at 01:30, which was a little bit too early. Then I got excited with the ending of that game and went back to sleep at about 03:30, with the hope to wake up at 06:00. But I was too sleepy now since I fucked up my cycle and snoozed to wake up at 07:00 instead. What a disaster!

I forgot to mention I caught up with my decks on Sunday, so now I can go back to failing vocabulary reading quizzes to add new words again. Maybe I should stick to additional N2 words though instead of N1 since that is the exam to take at year end. Hooray

Lunch. Let’s eat less carbs. I’m on team fats (haha fat ass)

Today’s walk. Let’s also walk more! Apparently walking burns up to 350 calories per hour at my weight, so let’s take advantage of it! I actually got the scale to trend down a bit after being stuck at 230 exactly, so we are back on track. I came up with an idea where I could take a picture of everything I eat. If I have to frame it as ‘oh I have to actually put what I eat on here’ then maybe I’ll have to make less boneheaded eating decisions.

M3-57 just hit… time to download 同人音楽 I’ll never listen to. Currently eyeing Diverse System — AD：PIANO X being good. Random thought on my mind for audio… I actually like my $1k IEMs more than my ~$400 IEMs… amazing thought… wow… Just don’t ask me to blind A/B the two, I probably couldn’t tell a difference. I can admit it.

Anyway, getting good sleep is important for fat loss, so going to bed is of utmost importance in that quest! Which also means I get to go read my book and hug my dakimakura sooner! pce

And this concludes the “I would be sad if I died without reading this book” picks. I do think #3 was way better (one of the best of all time, actually), so it’s hard for this to compare to it, but it was alright. 玉之けだまhasn’t put out a new book for at least a year now… Guess she is too busy doing illustrations and making big bucks now! tfw a victim of your own success (see also: henreader)

Well, we did everything right this morning by not goofing off for too long, lifting, and taking a walk, and getting thoroughly clapped in tile game. Time to actually work from home. Let’s do our best!

Got a few shits done, took my walk, put some figgie boxes away. productive!

Since her cloak protrudes out from practically anywhere I can put it, so it’s a risk if I accidentally knock her over. Not that I haven’t knocked any other figgies over yet… haha…

Kura for lunch and weekly Costco shopping. Since it was still early by the time we got back I got a few new clears in IIDX, but still struggling on re-attempting some previous fails. Kind of expected since I haven’t actually played that much. ;_;

I like this artist for their use of heart pupils! Also, really good taste in characters, too!

Some mahjong this morning and some room cleanup. I organized my read doujinshi but still need to sort out the new arrivals from February and update the onahole location/list. Maybe we’ll tackle that next weekend.

Friend took me to Round 1 today, got a DDR credit in and some IIDX. But we have a new arrival here… Pop’n Music!

My first credit (eaten) resulted in a crash on song select. I didn’t know you get a free play on first card-in to the game… so I’m out a dollar! I was able to clear a 36 and 2 37s not having played for a very long time and not ever having taken the game seriously, so I’m pleasantly surprised. Could be a good game to add to the rotation since I’m not big on Sega rhythm games. One feature IIDX needs to take from pop’n music is showing what % of the song is in what BPM to make sof-lan songs easier to approach without having to consult a guide on when and by how much to adjust high speed by at breaks. I also did see some kids playing with the big POP buttons, so it seems to be a cute way to get someone into the game.

Unfortunately some stinky hobo was walking around during a few credits… I had to try to focus hard on the game by pressing buttons harder to not get distracted by his scent. ):

going to need to practice coming up with witty lines for… plates of food. level 1 at it I guess

For dinner, a chicken sammich and a bowl of chili. The temperature difference was quite odd with the chicken being hot off the grill but the lettuce and tomato being cold from the refrigerator, so I had to let it sit to allow the two to somewhat… get closer in temperature. Not ideal!
